Update: Thammasat University has discussed an academic collaboration with National Taiwan Sport University and University of Groningen.

NTSU and TU strengthen teamwork in Sports Science

     The President and the Director of OIA from the National Taiwan Sport University (NTSU) visited the Rangsit campus of Thammasat University on 24 August 2023 to bolster the current collaboration between them. The Taiwanese guests were greeted and hosted by the Assistant to the Rector for International Affairs, Lecturer Siripatra Patchanee, and the Dean and executives from the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences.

     Both sides shared the view that they needed to strengthen the cooperation and partnership under the current faculty-level agreement in areas of Sport Science, such as the student exchange program and scholarship opportunities.

     Before a Thai-style luncheon hosted by the TU side at the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, the delegation was taken on a tour of the Department of Sport Science and Sport Development at the Main Stadium by lecturers from the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences.

     เมื่อวันที่ 24 สิงหาคม 2566 อธิการบดีและผู้อำนวยการฝ่ายวิเทศสัมพันธ์ จาก National Taiwan Sport University (NTSU) ประเทศไต้หวัน เดินทางเยือนมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ศูนย์รังสิต ให้การต้อนรับโดย อาจารย์ ทพญ.สิริภัทรา พัชนี ผู้ช่วยอธิการบดีฝ่ายวิเทศสัมพันธ์ พร้อมด้วย รศ.ดร.ไพลวรรณ สัทธานนท์ คณบดีคณะสหเวชศาสตร์ และคณาจารย์คณะสหเวชศาสตร์

     ทั้งสองฝ่ายหารือร่วมกันและแลกเปลี่ยนแนวทางการเสริมสร้างความเข้มแข็งด้านความร่วมมือภายใต้ข้อตกลงระดับคณะ โดยเฉพาะด้านวิทยาศาสตร์การกีฬา โดยได้นำเสนอการแลกเปลี่ยนนักศึกษา รวมถึงโอกาสการเข้าถึงแหล่งทุนการศึกษา

     นอกจากนี้ คณะสหเวชศาสตร์ นำอาคันตุกะเยี่ยมชมสาขาวิทยาศาสตร์การกีฬาและการพัฒนากีฬา ณ อาคารยิมเนเซียม มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ศูนย์รังสิต โดยมีอาจารย์จากคณะสหเวชศาสตร์นำชมพร้อมบรรยาย

Groningen, Netherlands and Thammasat discuss student exchange program.

     Mr. Tim Zwaagstra, Senior Policy Advisor for International Affairs (Southeast Asia and Japan) from the University of Groningen in the Netherlands, paid a visit to Thammasat-Tha Prachan on 17 August 2023. He was welcomed by the Vice Rector for Administration (Tha Prachan) along with the OIA Coordinator for Europe and Oceania.

     The visit focused on the desirability of expanding academic collaboration, particularly a student exchange program in terms of a one-to-one faculty agreement under the current MOU (General MOU) in order to expand opportunities for students from both institutes to study abroad.

     Thammasat and Groningen currently collaborate on a faculty-level with the Faculty of Law and the Thammasat Design School. Consideration is being given to developing a new dual degree program.

     During the discussion, Groningen expressed interest in pursuing joint research in the area of Global Health, a field that both the Faculty of Public Health and the Faculty of Medicine at Thammasat are engaged in and would thus be promising for future cooperation.

     ผู้แทนจาก University of Groningen ประเทศเนเธอร์แลนด์ เดินทางเยือนมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ท่าพระจันทร์ เพื่อหารือการทำข้อตกลงความร่วมมือในระดับมหาวิทยาลัย ในวันที่ 17 สิงหาคม 2566 โดย รศ.ดร.สุรัตน์ ทีรฆาภิบาล รองอธิการบดีฝ่ายบริหารท่าพระจันทร์และวิเทศสัมพันธ์ พร้อมด้วยเจ้าหน้าที่วิเทศสัมพันธ์ให้การต้อนรับ

     โดยได้หารือการทำความร่วมมือด้านการแลกเปลี่ยนนักศึกษาในระดับคณะ (ข้อตกลง 1 ฉบับต่อ 1 คณะ) ภายใต้กรอบข้อตกตกลงระดับมหาวิทยาลัยเดิม (General MOU) เพื่อเป็นการขยายโอกาสทางการศึกษาของทั้งสองสถาบันในการเรียนในต่างประเทศ ซึ่งในปัจจุบัน Groningen มีความร่วมมือในระดับคณะกับคณะนิติศาสตร์ และคณะสถาปัตยกรรมศาสตร์ฯ โดยอยู่ระหว่างการการขยายความร่วมมือในรูปแบบ Dual degree

     นอกจากนี้ Groningen ยังให้ความสนใจในการทำวิจัยร่วม โดยเฉพาะในสาขา Global Health ซึ่งคาดว่าในอนาคตอันใกล้จะสามารถทำความร่วมมือกับคณะสาธารณสุขศาสตร์และคณะแพทยศาสตร์ได้ เนื่องจากคณะดังกล่าวมีการดำเนินการงานวิจัยด้านนี้อยู่แล้ว
