MOU signing between Thammasat University and Hokkaido University and Honorary Lecture “Are we prepared for pandemic influenza?”

          On 18 September 2019 - Thammasat University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Hokkaido University. Rector Gasinee Witoonchart and Prof. Emeritus Hiroshi KIDA, Head and Specially Invited Professor of Research Center for Zoonosis Control presided over the ceremony. We have Vice Rector for International Affairs, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kitti Prasirtsuk, Dean Sasitorn Taptagaporn, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Norikaza ISODA, and executives from the Faculty of Public Health, were gathering in this event. In the afternoon, there was also Honorary Lecture “Are we prepared for pandemic influenza?” delivered by Prof. Emeritus Hiroshi KIDA and Special Lecture “Seasonal influenza evolution and antigenic drift” delivered by Prof. Dr. Prasert Auewarakul, Faculty of Medicine, Mahidol University. The activities represent a part of the celebration on the occasion of the 85th Anniversary of Thammasat University. The whole event was moderated by Dr. Twisuk Punpeng, Deputy Dean for Administrative Affairs, Faculty of Public Health. There was a signing ceremony of the cotutelle agreement at the faculty level in Ph.D. programs in the next two days. 

Thammasat Vice Rector for International Affairs visited Jagiellonian University

          On 30 September 2019 - Vice Rector for International Affairs, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kitti Prasirtsuk, visited Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland. Both sides explored the possibility for collaboration and agreed to exchange students. After the discussion, Thammasat Vice Rector took a dormitory tour and attended the inauguration ceremony of the academic year 2019 together with members of Parliament and diplomatic corps.
