Update: Thammasat University attended the 7th Thailand Education Fair (Myanmar) 2024 and update exchange program with university partners.

Thammasat at the “7th Thailand Education Fair 2024" in Yangon, Myanmar

     7 April 2024, The Office of International Affairs of Thammasat University attended the “7th Thailand Education Fair (Myanmar) 2024”, held at the Sedona Hotel in Yangon, Myanmar. Joining the OIA team were staff from the Thammasat Business School and the Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology.

     At the fair, H.E. Mr. Mongkol Visitstump, the Ambassador of Thailand to Myanmar, delivered the opening speech and welcomed all participants to the education fair, organized by the Association of Myanmar Alumni from Universities in Thailand (AMAUT) and supported by the Royal Thai Embassy.

     With over 1,600 participants from across Yangon, the Thailand Education Fair is one of the biggest education exhibitions in Myanmar, featuring 34 booths from Thai universities and the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA). It provides information to Myanmar students who are interested in studying in Thailand. The OIA Thammasat booth promoted international programs and the Thammasat International Student Recruitment (TISR) Program, including scholarship opportunities, drawing avid attention from high school students and parents in Myanmar.

     กองวิเทศสัมพันธ์ มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ เข้าร่วมงาน “7th Thailand Education Fair (Myanmar) 2024” ที่จัดขึ้น ณ โรงแรม Sedona ในเมืองย่างกุ้ง ประเทศเมียนมา จัดโดย the Association of Myanmar Alumni from Universities in Thailand (AMAUT) และได้รับการสนับสนุนจากสถานเอกอัครราชทูตไทย ณ กรุงย่างกุ้ง เมื่อวันที่ 7 เมษายน 2567 โดยมี คณะพาณิชยศาสตร์และการบัญชี และสถาบันเทคโนโลยีนานาชาติสิรินธร ร่วมงานในครั้งนี้ด้วย

     ภายในงาน คุณมงคล วิศิษฏ์สตัมภ์ เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงย่างกุ้ง กล่าวเปิดงานและกล่าวต้อนรับผู้เข้าร่วมงานนิทรรศการการศึกษาครั้งนี้ ซึ่งงาน The Thailand Education Fair ถือเป็นหนึ่งในงานนิทรรศการการศึกษาที่ใหญ่ที่สุดในพม่า โดยในงานประกอบด้วย 34 บูธจากมหาวิทยาลัยในประเทศไทยและจาก the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) ร่วมประชาสัมพันธ์ข้อมูลด้านการศึกษาสำหรับนักเรียนในพม่าที่สนใจไปศึกษาต่อ ณ ประเทศไทย นอกจากนี้ มีผู้เข้าร่วมงานมากกว่า 1,600 คนจากทั่วเมืองย่างกุ้ง และบูธของกองวิเทศสัมพันธ์เปิดรับนักเรียนเพื่อประชาสัมพันธ์หลักสูตรนานาชาติของธรรมศาสตร์ พร้อมด้วยข้อมูลโครงการ Thammasat International Students Recruitment (TISR) และโอกาสการขอรับทุนการศึกษา ซึ่งได้รับการตอบรับและเข้าเยี่ยมบูธจากนักเรียนและผู้ปกครองเป็นอย่างมาก

Thammasat and Aberystwyth update exchange program

     The OIA Director and the OIA Coordinator for Europe welcomed the Inbound and Outbound staff from Aberystwyth University in the UK at the OIA office at Thammasat-Tha Prachan on 20 March 2024.

     Both sides updated the exchange program between Aberystwyth and Thammasat under the current agreement, covering course offerings, requirements, dormitory arrangements, student activities, visa, costs, guidance, as well as student life.

     After both universities gave a brief on their summer programs which can be tailor-made for the needs and interests of Thammasat and Aberystwyth students, they also agreed that expanding the partnership to include customized short programs would be a good start for students to first learn how to adapt their lives to a new environment.

Thammasat และ Aberystwyth หารือความคืบหน้าโครงการแลกเปลี่ยน

     เมื่อวันที่ 20 มีนาคม 2567 ผู้อำนวยการกองวิเทศสัมพันธ์ พร้อมด้วยผู้ประสานงานภูมิภาคยุโรป ให้การต้อนรับเจ้าหน้าที่ด้านการรับเข้าและส่งออกนักศึกษา จาก Aberystwyth University สหราชอาณาจักร ณ กองวิเทศสัมพันธ์มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ท่าพระจันทร์

     ทั้งสองฝ่ายให้ความคืบหน้าข้อมูลด้านการแลกเปลี่ยนของทั้งสองสถาบัน ได้แก่ รายวิชา การสมัครและเงื่อนไข หอพัก กิจกรรมนักศึกษา วีซ่า ข้อควรระวัง รวมถึงชีวิตในรั้วมหาวิทยาลัย

     จากนั้น ได้แลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูลเบื้องต้นเกี่ยวกับโครงการระยะสั้นภาคฤดูร้อน (Summer Program) และหลักสูตร Tailor – made ซึ่งสามารถปรับหลักสูตร รายวิชา ให้เหมาะสมกับความต้องการและความสนใจของนักศึกษาธรรมศาสตร์และ Aberystwyth ได้ นอกจากนี้ ทั้งสองฝ่ายมีความเห็นไปในแนวทางเดียวกันว่าการเริ่มต้นด้วยโครงการแลกเปลี่ยนระยะสั้น เป็นจุดเริ่มต้นที่ดีและง่ายต่อนักศึกษาที่จะปรับตัวในการใช้ชีวิตในสังคมใหม่ ๆ

Healthy Smoothie Workshop: Boosting your energy levels and refreshing your day

     The Office of International Affairs organized a Healthy Smoothie Workshop on 14 March 2024 at the OIA inter-lounge at Thammasat-Tha Prachan.

     The workshop attracted nearly 40 Thai and international students wanting to learn how to make their own customized smoothies, depending on their goals. It was also a hands-on workshop for beginners that introduced them to different ingredients and various recipes to create a healthy smoothie of their own.

     Nutrition instructors provided an overview of fruits and vegetables, followed by a demonstration of how to mix selected fruits and vegetables according to their taste and color. Afterwards, the students created their own blend. The workshop not only taught the learners about mixing their perfect personal smoothie, but participants commented that it contributed to their well-being also. Cheers to all the new smoothie creators!

กิจกรรมน้ำปั่นเพื่อสุขภาพ–เสริมสร้างพลังงานไปและสร้างวันใหม่ที่สดชื่น

     กองวิเทศสัมพันธ์ จัดกิจกรรมน้ำปั่นเพื่อสุขภาพ สำหรับคนรักสุขภาพ เมื่อวันที่ 14 มีนาคม 2567 ณ ห้องอินเตอร์เลาจน์ มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ท่าพระจันทร์ โดยภายในงานมีนักศึกษาไทยและต่างชาติเกือบ 40 คน เข้าร่วมงาน เพื่อเรียนรู้วิธีทำน้ำผักผลไม้ปั่นเพื่อสุขภาพในรูปแบบและรสชาติเฉพาะตน ซึ่งกิจกรรมน้ำปั่นจัดขึ้นเพื่อรองรับผู้ที่เริ่มต้นทดลองทำน้ำปั่นในรูปแบบง่าย ๆ และเพื่อเป็นการแนะให้รู้จักผัก-ผลไม้ที่สามารถผสมผสานในน้ำปั่นได้ 

     เริ่มต้นด้วยการแนะนำและอธิบายถึงผักและผลไม้ที่ผู้เข้าร่วมจะทำเครื่องดื่ม โดยวิทยากรผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้าน โภชนาการ แนะนำผักผลไม้ที่จะใช้ปั่น ตามด้วยสาธิตวิธีการปั่นด้วยการผสมรวมของผักผลไม้ที่ลงตัวในเรื่องรสชาติและสีสันที่สวยงามเข้ากัน หลังจากนั้นให้ผู้เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมที่ได้ทดลองทำน้ำปั่นด้วยตัวเอง

     การจัดกิจกรรมครั้งนี้ ไม่เพียงแต่เพื่อการเรียนรู้การทำน้ำปั่นให้เหมาะสมกับความต้องการของผู้ทานแล้ว ยังเป็นการเสริมสร้างการเริ่มต้นของการมีสุขภาพที่ดีด้วย ขอให้อร่อยกับน้ำปั่นทำเองง่าย ๆ ที่บ้าน พร้อม ๆ กับการมีสุขภาพดี   

Thammasat and Tokai explore University-level partnership

     4 March 2024, Prof. Dr. Shigeru Yamaguchi, Head of the International Affairs Section of the Chancellor's Office, and Executives from Tokai University in Japan paid a visit to the Rector of Thammasat, Assoc. Prof. Gasinee Witoonchart at the Dome Administration building at Thammasat-Rangsit. Joining the Rector for the meeting were the Vice Rector for Administration (Pattaya Campus) and Assistant Rectors for Admission, International Affairs and Administration (Pattaya Campus).

     At the Visitaksorn Building (Social Sciences Building 2), Tokai briefed TU executives on its research project called “Wonder Innovation at Tokai goes beyond the border”, aimed at enhancing Innovation Research and Medical Technology and Public Health at Tokai university.

     Before a Thai-style luncheon hosted by Thammasat, both sides discussed potential collaboration and partnership at the university level. Also discussed was enhancing interdisciplinary research and innovation, as well as exchanging faculty members, particularly in the key areas of Biomedical Engineering.

     The Thammasat participants were led by the Vice Rector for Administration (Pattaya campus), along with the Assistant Rectors for Admission and International Affairs, and executives from the Faculties of Engineering, Medicine, and Allied Health Sciences.

     The Tokai delegation wrapped up its tour with a visit to the Center of Excellence in Creative Engineering Design and Development (CED) at the Faculty of Engineering the purpose of which is to develop innovations in the field of engineering to support patients, the elderly and disabled people in the healthcare system.

     เมื่อวันที่ 4 มีนาคม 2567 Prof. Dr. Shigeru Yamaguchi, Head of International Affairs Section of Chancellor Office พร้อมคณะจาก Tokai University ประเทศญี่ปุ่น เดินทางเยือนมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ศูนย์รังสิต เพื่อเยี่ยมคารวะ รศ.เกศินี วิฑูรชาติ อธิการดีมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ณ อาคารโดมบริหาร โดยมี รศ.นพ.กัมมาล กุมาร ปาวา รองอธิการบดีฝ่ายบริหารศูนย์พัทยา พร้อมด้วยผู้ช่วยอธิการบดีฝ่ายรับเข้าศึกษา, ฝ่ายวิเทศสัมพันธ์ และฝ่ายบริหารศูนย์พัทยา ร่วมต้อนรับ

     ณ ตึกวิศิษฏ์อักษร (SC2) ผู้แทนจาก Tokai แนะนำโครงการวิจัย “Wonder Innovation at Tokai goes beyond the border” ซึ่งเป็นโครงการที่สนับสนุนผลงานวิจัยด้านนวัตกรรมและเทคโนโลยีทางการแพทย์และสาธารณสุข โดยทั้งสองฝ่ายหารือถึงความเป็นไปได้ในการทำความร่วมมือและพัฒนาผลงานวิจัยและนวัตกรรมแบบสหสาขา การแลกเปลี่ยนอาจารย์ในระดับมหาวิทยาลัย โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งในสาขาที่เกี่ยวข้องกับงานวิศวกรรมชีวการแพทย์

     ทั้งนี้ ในการหารือดังกล่าว มีผู้แทนจากหลายสาขาของธรรมศาสตร์เข้าร่วม นำโดย รองอธิการบดีฝ่ายบริหารศูนย์พัทยา ผู้ช่วยอธิการบดีฝ่ายรับเข้าศึกษา และฝ่ายวิเทศสัมพันธ์ รวมถึงคณาจารย์ผู้แทนจากคณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ คณะแพทยศาสตร์ และคณะสหเวชศาสตร์

     โดยผู้บริหารของ Tokai ได้เยี่ยมชม the Center of Excellence in Creative Engineering Design and Development (CED) ณ คณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ ซึ่งเป็นศูนย์ที่มุ่งเน้นการสร้างนวัตกรรมและพัฒนาต้นแบบทางวิศวกรรมอย่างสร้างสรรค์ เพื่อพัฒนานวัตกรรมให้สามารถนำไปสู่การใช้งานจริงทางด้านสุขภาพ สำหรับผู้ป่วย คนพิการและผู้สูงอายุ

Thammasat promotes TISR 2024 Program in Laos

     A delegation from Thammasat University visited Laos from 26 to 27 February 2024 to promote the Thammasat International Students Recruitment (TISR) Program 2024 and scholarship opportunities. The team consisted of executives and staff from the Office of International Affairs (OIA) and the Thammasat Business School, the Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communication, the Thammasat Design School and the College of Innovation.

     On 27 February 2024, after executives from the National University of Laos (NUOL) greeted the Thammasat delegation, the TU team gave a briefing on the TISR 2024 Program, followed by presentations on international programs by the OIA and the various faculties. 

     Afterwards, the TU team visited the School for Gifted and Ethnic Students, introducing the background of the TISR Program and scholarship opportunities and a brief by the OIA team. The four faculties also highlighted international programs which are now open for TISR 2024 applications.

     In the afternoon, the Thammasat delegates visited the Sengdara International School in Vientiane, promoting inter-programs and encouraging students to apply online for TISR 2024. During the visits to both schools, the students were entertained with quizzes about Thammasat with winners receiving unique Thammasat memorabilia as gifts.

ธรรมศาสตร์ ประชาสัมพันธ์โครงการ TISR 2024 ณ สาธารณรัฐประชาธิปไตยประชาชนลาว

     ผู้แทนจากธรรมศาสตร์ เดินทางเยือนสาธารณรัฐประชาธิปไตยประชาชนลาว เมื่อวันที่ 26-27 กุมภาพันธ์ 2567 เพื่อประชาสัมพันธ์เชิงรุกในการสรรหานักศึกษาต่างชาติ ศึกษาต่อ ณ มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ภายใต้โครงการ Thammasat International Students Recruitment Program (TISR) 2024 และโอกาสการขอรับทุนการศึกษา ในการเดินทางประชาสัมพันธ์ครั้งนี้ มีคณะผู้เดินทางจากกองวิเทศสัมพันธ์ คณะพาณิชยศาสตร์ฯ คณะวารสารศาสตร์ฯ คณะสถาปัตยกรรมศาสตร์ฯ และวิทยาลัยนวัตกรรม

     โดยได้เดินทางเยือนมหาวิทยาลัยแห่งชาติลาว ได้รับการต้อนรับโดยผู้บริหารมหาวิทยาลัยแห่งชาติลาว  และผู้แทนจากธรรมศาสตร์ เริ่มด้วยกองวิเทศฯ ได้นำเสนอข้อมูลเบื้องต้นของโครงการ TISR 2024 พร้อมผู้แทนจากคณะต่าง ๆ ให้ข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับหลักสูตรที่เปิดรับนักศึกษาต่างชาติผ่านโครงการ TISR

     หลังจากนั้น ได้เดินทางเยือนโรงเรียนพรสวรรค์และชนเผ่า หรือ The School for Gifted and Ethnic Students เพื่อประชาสัมพันธ์และแนะนำโครงการ TISR พร้อมด้วยโอกาสการขอรับทุนการศึกษา และหลักสูตรที่เปิดรับสมัครภายใต้โครงการ TISR พร้อมทั้งได้เยือนโรงเรียนนานาชาติแสงดารา (Sengdara International School) ในเวียงจันทน์ เพื่อประชาสัมพันธ์ให้นักเรียนสมัครสอบคัดเลือกเข้าศึกษาต่อที่มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ผ่านโครงการ TISR
