TUNET: Windows95 Dial-Up Networking
1. Checking for a
Folder,
by double click on the
icon on
the desktop.
If you already have, skip the next section.
2. Installing the Dial-Up Networking Folder
Open the "Control Panel", click on 
Click the "Windows Setup" tab.

Highlight the "Communications" icon and press the "Details..."
button.
Place a check mark on
and click
"OK"
3. Installing a Network Adapter & the TCP/IP Protocol
Open the "Control Panel", click on ![]()
If you have both "TCPIP" and the "Dial-Up Adapter", you may skip the rest of this section.
Next click on "Add".
Select "Protocol" and click on "Add".
Choose the "Microsoft" and "TCP/IP" protocol and click "OK"

Follow the same procedure to install the "Dial-Up Networking Adapter", except instead of selecting "Protocol" choose
"Adapter" and install the "Microsoft" and "Dial-Up Adapter".
4. Creating and Configuring a PPP connection
In the
folder (just under
),
double click on 


Name the connection, click "Next" and fill in the phone number, then click "Next" to finish.
After this is done, you MUST right click on your new
and select "properties"
Use the "Configure..." button to set up the modem by change the "Maximum speed" to "115200".

Next click on "Server Type"
Check unmark on "Log on to network".
Click "OK"
5. Starting
Double Click on
icon you created earlier.
Input name and password at this point, just click on "Connect..."

Minimize this window and run Netscape or whatever. When you're done be sure to "Disconnect"
