Thammasat University

One of the most important responsibilities of Thammasat University is to foster, support and encourage the continuous development of Arts and Cultural studies. Faculty of Applied Arts, was, therefore, established according to the National Higher Education Plan, on November 26,2001.

Faculty of Applied Arts, though a new entity, has incorporated the former Drama Department which was established since 1994 as an integral part of the faculty. The Faculty also established a brand new Department called Pastraporn (Textile &Fashion Design) to accommodate students who are interested in Textile, Fashion and Costume Design. Later in 2005, a Department of Industrial Craft and Design was established and situated at Thammasat University , Lampang Campus.

At present (2008), the undergraduate courses for Drama Department and Textile, Fashion and Costume Design are offered at Thammasat University whereas the Department of Industrial Craft and Design is giving its courses at Thammasat University , Lampang Campus.
