The Faculty of Allied Health Sciences was established in 1996. It is located in Apichart Building , Thammasat University , Rangsit Campus, Pathumtanee. Currently, the Faculty consists of three departments or equivalence: Department of Medical Technology (commencing students'admission in 1996), Department of Physical Therapy (commencing students'admission in 1998), and Graduate Program in Biomedical Sciences (commencing students'admission in 2001).The Faculty is well equipped with materials and human resources. There are approximately 59 academic staff, with 29 being at doctoral level, 38 at Master's level.

The Faculty of Allied Health Sciences offers B.Sc. programs in Medical Technology and Physical Therapy, to a total of approximately 150 students per year. It also has a very strong, well- established International Graduate Program in Biomedical Sciences, at Master and Doctor of Philosophy levels, in four academic disciplines, namely molecular immunology and biology, pharmacology and toxicology, drug research and development, and epidemiology of infectious diseases. Approximately 10 students are enrolled into the program each year.

All the academic programs have established with the firm commitment that they will be nationally beneficial for developing and generating the much-needed human resources in the fields of biomedical sciences (applied biological and health sciences), in order to alleviate the current personnel shortage in both research and education sectors. Our graduates pursue successful careers in public and private university and research institutions.

The Faculty of Allied Health Sciences places a strong emphasis on research as an ongoing commitment to international scientific advancement and national development. The research activities of the faculty are directed towards the solution of tropical infectious diseases, especially those in Thailand , e.g ., malaria, liver fluke infections both in human and domestic livestock, as well as certain bacterial and viral infections. Several research projects have been successfully collaborated with scientists and researchers both nationally and internationally. Research results were well recognized and about 70 research articles have been published in international and national journals. We are proud to claim the title “Thammasat's leader in biomedical science research”.
